Obituary

Norman Laufer, of Somerset passed away on Sunday, April 18th at the Bristal Assisted Living Facility in Somerset. He was 94.

Born in the Bronx, New York, he lived in Queens and West Orange before moving to Somerset, New Jersey and Boynton Beach, Florida.

He worked as the Proprietor of Laufer Shipping in New York City before his retirement.

Norman enjoyed watching all sports, particularly tennis and the New York Yankees baseball. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and poker. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved family.

He is predeceased by his parents, Sam & Anna Laufer; and his wife, Tiby Laufer.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Mark & Marina Laufer of New York City; daughter and son-in-law, Susan & Carl Goldberg of Somerset; brother, Arthur Laufer of Long Island, NY; and granddaughters, Jessica (husband, Jordan), Rachel, Marcy and Dana.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street, Somerset on Tuesday, April 20th at 10:30 AM. Funeral services will begin at 11 AM. Committal service and burial to follow in King Solomon Memorial Park, Clifton.
