John Sutlic, 70, passed away surrounded by family Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
John was born in Manhattan, New York in 1952 to the late Ivan and Alice (DeTiani) Sutlic. When he was ten, his family moved to Toms River, New Jersey where he grew up. After graduating high school, he earned his Associates Degree at Ocean County College and continued his education at Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey) in Ewing, New Jersey, where he met his wife, Janet. Afterwards, they started their life together in Woodbridge, New Jersey before ultimately settling down in North Brunswick, New Jersey where they raised their family in a home filled with love and joy.
John was always an incredibly ambitious and driven person. In 1997, he founded his own business, Spectrum Printing Solutions, with his wife as partner. While raising a family with two young girls, John took a risk and created a company that is still successful to this day. Throughout his life, John was passionate about nutrition and fitness and earned a Certified Nutritionist License from the Academy of Natural Health Sciences. He graduated at the top of his class, with a 98-page thesis he wrote about vitamins and their nutritional benefit.
John was never without a warm smile on his face, and he loved to laugh. His deep love of outdoors gave him peace and he enjoyed hiking, biking, and spending time on the beach. John was deeply spiritual and always willing to give back to others. At his former church, he was a Teen Sunday School teacher, Youth Group leader, Deacon, Elder, and respected member of the community. Wanting to lead by example throughout his life, he spent countless hours volunteering at food pantries and shelters. John was a devoted husband, loving father, and adoring grandfather. He will be missed by so many friends and loved ones whose life he touched.
John was predeceased by his parents and his younger brother, Jimmy Sutlic.
