Obituary for Fran Weizer
Fran Weizer, 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerville, New Jersey.
Fran was born November 12, 1949, in the Flushing section of Queens, New York to the late George and Connie (Morelli) Melita. She relocated to Flemington, NJ before settling in Branchburg, NJ in 1999.
Fran was a Jury Manager for the State of New Jersey, where she worked for many years. She enjoyed reading and was member of her local book club. Fan also loved going to the beach. When she visited Long Beach Island, she appreciated the ocean wind and relaxing on the sand. Fran's granddaughter called her "Nana," and Nana loved her. She made every effort to spend as much time as she could with her granddaughter. Fran will be deeply missed, she was a loving mother, a caring sister, and an adoring grandmother.
Fran is predeceased by her brothers, Anthony and George Melita.
She is survived by her daughter, Lauren Weiture and daughter’s fiancé, Frank DiGiovanni; her sister-in-law, Joan Melita; her granddaughter Phoebe Weiture and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends may gather from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street, Somerset, NJ 08873. A memorial service will begin 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
