Obituary

Aurelia Italia passed away on Friday evening at her home in Somerset. She was an astounding one hundred and eight years of age.

Mrs. Italia was born in Sicily, Italy as one of six children. She came to the United States in 1938 and resided in the Bronx where she and her husband Nino had two children.

She was a devout catholic, prayed the rosary daily and was a founding parishioner of St. Matthias Church in Somerset. A master seamstress, she worked for many years in the garment industry before retiring in 1977. Aurelia was the quintessential Italian grandma who enjoyed preparing meals for her family with love. Faith and family were at the center of her life.
